The Mets pitching strategy is interesting. A few years ago they had deGrom, Verlander, and Scherzer
With Scherzer and Verlanxer both on these massive, high AAV contracts. All mid 30s or older.

Now they’ve decided they don’t want to pay insane money for pitching. Short term deals on reclamation projects. Somehow it worked last year with Quintana, Manaea, and Severino. Senga was a FA but not crazy money.

Now they are trying to run it back, but with Frankie Montas and converting Clay Holmes to a SP. it’s interesting, and David Sterns is super smart, but this can’t be a real rotation, right? Or for the second year in a row can they hit on their dumpster diving and have a competent rotation for cheap?
