How about this instead: invite everybody to the NCAA tourney.
Limit pre-conference games to 5, standardize an X number of games conference schedule across the board, nix the conference tourneys which would be fully pointless, and invite EVERYBODY to a double elimination tourney starting end of February or first of March. Or whenever it needs to be scheduled to get all the games in before The Masters.

But please stop inching your way to ensuring the entire SEC and B1G are invited just to keep them happy.

No more 1-loss Atlantic-10 teams who are NIT bound just because the one loss happened to be their conference tournament title game. Everybody gets in. It's finally double elimination as it always should have been. And no more calls from the SEC demanding the tournament expand just so another mediocre first round loser SEC team can be included.
