I know everybody is disappointed in how the season ended, but I'm still glad for 1 more game.
The saddest day of the year for me is the last game of the BYU football season.
I used to watch a bunch of sports on TV. Baseball, Basketball, NFL, College Football, even hockey sometimes. As I've gotten older I've lost my passion for watching a lot of sports on TV for all of them except for BYU Football. I'll still occasionally watch the cougs play some basketball, but it isn't the same for me (probably because I never played basketball competitively). BYU football has always been a big part of my life. I remember going to the church and watching BYU games on the old satellite system with my dad and my brothers. I remember sitting at home watching BYU play Miami and seeing my brother in the crowd at Cougar Stadium, and going nuts when they won. I remember going to the newsagent when I was on my mission and looking at USA Today's monday edition so I could see the box scores for the 1996 and 1997 seasons. I remember the last really good visit I had with my grandfather was me sitting at his bedside in the care center he was in, and watching BYU football. I don't remember the game or the opponent, but I remember just sitting there talking to my grandpa about football, and also learning a lot from him about life, and him asking me at the end of the game if I could go get him a couple McDonald's cheeseburgers because the food wasn't the best in the care center. Less than 2 months later he was reunited with my Grandma, and I'll forever be thankful for the visit I was able to have with him.

I wish BYU was playing in the CCG. I wish they had their ticket punched to the playoffs and were getting ready to teach some of the bluebloods a lesson. I wish BYU won every game, but since they didn't, I will enjoy the game that is coming. I hope they beat either Miami or Colorado. One more game. One more time this year, that I can just sit and be reminded of so many good memories watching BYU football. I'll always cheer for this team. There will never be another team or university that will ever take BYU's place in my heart and life. Go Cougars!!!
