Instead of SMU I think we make the playoff as an at large. A win over a top 10 team early in the season would’ve shot us up in the rankings and we would’ve kept climbing until we were 9-0 and probably ranked 2 or 3. But instead we beat the probable ACC champs who happened to be unranked at the time and the win does us no good. Just goes to show how stupid pre season rankings are.
