I really hate the idea of facing Colorado in the Alamo Bowl
I'd much rather see how the B12 really matches up against other conferences in the post season than play another conference game where we get to beat up on ourselves again. The polls all year have treated the B12 more like the MWC than the other P4 conferences and have undervalued B12 teams all year long (at least based on computer rankings and wins over ranked opponents). I expect the bias for the SEC and B1G given their recent track record in the CFP, but why are the ACC programs getting such favorable treatment?

BYU beat the ACC regular season champion SMU in Texas before they were ranked plus two other ranked teams this season. Yet there are 3 ACC teams ranked ahead of us in the coaches/CFP polls. I can certainly see SMU being ahead of BYU for going undefeated since playing us, but what business does a 10-2 Miami team have being ranked ahead of us when they have not faced a single ranked team this season? Clemson played two ranked teams and lost to both of them plus a loss to unranked Louisville, but they get ranked ahead of us? UNLV is 10-2 with no victories over ranked opponents, but enjoys a ranking that is essentially equivalent to BYU's.

The B12 plays 9 conference games and beats up on itself and now our conference gets only one spot to the CFP (likely without a bye) and two of the other three top teams will face each other (guaranteeing a bowl game loss for either BYU or Colorado). I can't think of anything worse than that bowl game draw. It basically prevents the best teams in the B12 from showing the committee was wrong all year. I hate that.
