We’ve seen 3 movies in theaters the last couple of weeks and the crowds have felt a little like how it was pre-COVID.
I’m a real proponent for the theater-going experience and really do not want to see theaters die and streaming take over.
A lot of is obviously based on studios providing good content that makes us want to go to theaters as opposed to waiting for it to stream.
Hopefully we’re on an upward trend.
Wicked was great, and seeing it in a full theater, and hearing their reaction was pretty cool.
Best Christmas Pageant Ever was very well done and gives me hope that this type of film can not only survive but can make a profit in this environment.
Moana 2 was not as bad as some on CB are making it out to be. Not as good as the original but still a good movie, with great animation, some good songs and a great finale. The entire crowd seemed engaged and it got big applause at the end.
Next year’s lineup of films is pretty stacked and will likely do even better than 2024. Good news for theaters for sure.
