My oldest son has been a Utah most of his adult life. When he was younger he was kind of feisty aobut it, but then Kalani became the BYU coach, he simmered down, because he liked Kalani from his Utah days. Last year his wife's nephew played on the BYU team, and they came to several games, in BYU shirts!
I bring him to one game a year, this year was the Kansas debacle. But the other day he asked me if when I get unable to continue season tickets (age), if he could take them over. I explained my tickets aren't legacy, I can't transfer them to anyone, he indicated if I get too decrepit to attend, if I would still buy them but he'd pay me to use them.
He is a friendly, gregarious guy, knows boundaries, and consistently makes friends with the BYU fans around us. Might be a great idea...
