Company. I’ve stayed at the same company for a long time because it’s an amazing company. I’ve been offered more money and higher titles elsewhere but I’ve made that mistake before chasing title and money and it was disastrous (twice).

I think it would be a big mistake if hill took the Utah state job. If I was in his shoes, I’d first ask, what’s my line of progression at BYU with sitake and Holmoe. Or what the ceiling is for money if it’s solely a money decision.

Second, I’d hold out for a position at a good program that loses their DC. A horizontal move isn’t always bad if hill can land at a school that is already a winner.

Third, my last choice would be if I got offered the HC position at another P4 that just isn’t a great program like a ucla or Minnesota type school. At least it’s still a bigger program than a Utah State.

That’s just me though.
