There is no doubt that Jake improved greatly this year. The record speaks for itself, but the stats do too. But it's also clear to me that Jake regressed a bit toward the end of the season. And to me it was clear what changed. Defenses started to blitz him more and he was much less effective when they did. His PFF grade was 20 point lower when he was blitzed. It seemed to cause him to rush and then to be less careful with the ball. And then it seemed his confidence waned toward the end if the season.

Imo this is what he needs to work on in the off-season going into next year. He needs to recognize where the blitz is coming from and throwing to where the blitzing player has vacated. Which may include an audible and route adjustment by the WRs.

 The second thing he needs on is his touch. He can absolutely gun it. But there are times where he needs to put touch on the ball. Hehe definitely made improvements from last year and I expect him to do the same this off-season.
