I laughed at everybody who was positive at all heading into the season. The Vegas O/U was 4.5 wins. Our incumbent QB looked like a disaster in 2023. I was scared of the Wyoming game on the road. BYU won 2 Big 12 games in 2023 and it sure didn’t feel like the team was built to change that.

Instead, BYU embarrassed Utah, won 10 games (and counting), and is lined up for one of the best bowl games in program history. 8 power conference victories, a Top 20 ranking, and at least two absolutely all-time BYU victories we will remember forever.

I wanted more, my expectations changed quite a bit after the KSU-Baylor-Arizona stretch. And my personal BYU road/neutral losing streak got extended. But this has been one of the best BYU seasons I can remember. This is what we spent the last decade hoping for as we waited for a power conference invite.

I’m choosing to be happy. What a season. Go Cougs.
