Days like today remind me that I choose to have hope. Hope is a wonderful thing. Maybe the best of things.
I would rather hope for something good and be elated if it happens or deal with the disappointment if what I hoped for doesn’t happen, than voluntarily give up the hope because I don’t know how to deal with disappointment. I hate it when people pre-emptively choose to guard themselves against their hurt feelings because they don’t know how to deal with broken hope. Delicate wallflowers.
