Even PAC 12 made two appearances (yes, they were horse-whipped both times). Big 12 finally made it for the first time just two years ago and got whipped twice as bad as any PAC 12 team has ever been. It was an embarrassment that won't soon be forgotten.

This record of post-season failure and futility likely goes a long way in explaining why the conference doesn't get the national and media respect their fans wish they deserved.

Listen, I'm hoping the Big 12 finally shows out in the post-season and earns some respect, but I'm not sure this is the year.
