The conference, for one year, was pretty awesome for BYU. We found Kansas fans to be amazing - even with us beating them in their own building (which NEVER Happens). Same with K-State fans, Iowa State, Baylor, and most of the others. During the last 18 months, I was totally impressed by the ADs of each program. Post-game interviews with head football coaches from each school was also quite impressive. Then, during this last basketball season, I thought the exact same thing about the elite basketball coaches in the league. Even after some heart-breaking losses in both football and basketball, I didn't find myself loathing the other team. They were classy in the offseason, and classy before/during/after each game.
Then the league invited the PAC12 leftovers, and it's a completely different vibe.
Ugh.
Just like that, we're back to pettiness, bigotry, classless fans and admin.
