Arod isn't a bad offensive coordinator. Maybe we are taking for granted
That we have won 7 P4 games this year. Arod's offensive strategies have shored up our offensive flaws and helped our strengths shine. I can get more into this, but it may be worth being a completely different post. Between 2020 and 2022, our offense was extremely efficient. It's the reason we won games with how bad our defense was. 2023 was some of the worst Oline play we've had at byu in a long time. We've lost 2 games this year. One was to a Kansas team who has 3 ranked wins in a row. Another is to a top 25 ASU team in Arizona. The emotion of heart breaking losses makes them worse imo. There is a lot of stuff that is frustrating with Arod. I get frustrated when Arod goes away from what is working to keep the offense "balanced." I also get frustrated with his love of running to the short side of the field. But those same frustrations end up in big plays, TDs, and first downs. TL;DR - Arod is better than how he is perceived on CB.
