Entering the stadium there were a few pointed comments directed at BYU fans, but nothing rude or insulting.

We were in Section 312, bottom of the upper deck on the BYU side. There were a lot of BYU fans but also quite a few ASU fans. Nobody was rude or out of line. Everybody was cheering for their team. I didn’t see or hear anything confrontational or insulting. It was a good fan experience from that perspective.

Leaving the stadium there were a few comments directed at BYU fans (“Ha ha. It’s gonna be a LONG drive back to Utah,” which is interesting, because we are from Arizona), but nothing rude or provocative.

My only objection was with the students, specifically during the rushing of the field. Many ASU students taunted our players on the BYU sideline, getting in their faces and trying to take pictures of them while standing right in front of them – meanwhile, the refs were reviewing the play.

The exact same thing happened on the second field rush – our guys were accosted and taunted. We even saw that Connor Pay actually disappeared into the mass of students, apparently chasing one or more students that go a little too much in his face. I talked to some ward members today that were at the game who are mild ASU fans and they were embarrassed by the ASU students (one of their kids is an ASU grad).

I lost a lot of respect for the ASU student body.

Rather than retaliate or continue to complain, I say let’s show the ASU fans that come to LES in 2026 what a real A+ fan experience looks like for visitors.

p.s. I found it interesting that during timeouts they honored several ASU alumni for different reasons, and it seemed like a lot of them were LDS. They made a point to emphasize it when it was the case. As to those LDS ASU boosters - what are you doing?
