Kalani's Interview Last Night
I watched Kalani's post game interview and it was very disappointing. Throughout the interview, he seemed almost giddy. He complemented his team by saying he liked the fact that his never gave up and fought to the end. He complemented the other coach and players. He didn't have a problems with the fans storming the field early. It came across to me like a big love fest.

There isn't anything wrong with saying nice things about your team and the other team and school. It just seemed odd for a coach who just lost his second game in a row because his team was not prepared. There was no concern in his voice and no reflection on what went wrong like there was after the Kansas loss. He did mentioned that his is a very competitive league, with good coaches and players, etc.

What's concerning is that BYU seems to be heading in the wrong direction. The team, especially the offense has struggled the past 4 games. While Kansas and ASU are peaking now, we seem to regressing which should be a concern to many.

I can't imagine the elite coaches like Nick Saban, Kirby Smart and other acting like Kalani after 2 straight losses. These coaches are very focused and know how to consistently win at a high level.

In the grand scheme of things, BYU football shouldn't be that important. Win or lose, life goes on and the players and coaches will continue to love and learn and ask for more NIL money.
