I have watched both teams play a lot this year. I simply think that that K-State is a better football team. They are extremely motivated because Iowa State beat them last year when they were ranked and had the conference championship game on the line. A lot of K-State players want revenge and to do the same to Iowa State.

Last week, I posted in several places that Kansas was going to beat Colorado. No one believed me.

Before the season began, I posted that ASU could be one of our toughest games. Everyone said, no way, they’re last.

Don’t fall into the defeatist attitude that Iowa State playing at home for a spot in the championship will be unbeatable. BYU has been playing for two weeks for that spot. Colorado played last week for that spot. Iowa State is not demonstrably better in any specific area than BYU or Colorado. Kansas State is not worse either, but I think they matchup well with them.

If I have to pin my hopes on someone beating someone else out for us to get in the championship, I am feeling cautiously optimistic about Kansas State over Iowa State. There is hope there.

In my mind, BYU has everything to play for because if BYU doesn’t win, nothing else matters. Kansas was our friend last week. K-State will be our friend this week.
