Dialogue treats the audience like children.

The protagonist takes control of the Roman military by claiming it’s his birthright by having his friend display the royal ring of a dead noble woman to a general. There is absolutely nobody credible to vouch for his legitimacy let alone his Roman citizenship since Lucious was reported as deceased.

The villain is Denzel Washington. I mean that as in I’ve seen him play this same villain at least half a dozen times.

At no point in this movie did I fear for the protagonist’s life.

It’s a cash grab not Top Gun 2.

Save your money and watch it on Netflix in two months.
