I know there are lots of people on here saying "rankings don't matter, we just have to win out and we make the playoffs", and they're right on that part
Here's where they're wrong:
Our final ranking matters because of the seeding we will be placed as. Most likely, I will come down to us vs Boise State vs SMU/Miami. The top two teams will get the bye and the 3rd will have to play first round. As of right now, we would have to play first round. So later on it might come to the committee's decision. This is why rankings DO matter.

Also on the side note I would love to see Boise State play first round with home field advantage vs SEC team in the cold. Would be a nice game to see.
