Rarely do I take my family to fast food places now outside of In N Out and tonight was another reminder of why.

We decided to go to McDonalds since it was really the only convenient option during a chaotic night of kids sports and activities. Walking in, the place is absolutely filthy and disgusting. Trash cans overflowing, sticky floors, and bathrooms looking and smelling like they haven’t been cleaned in weeks.

Customer service stinks and now you have to order food on a screen that takes forever. Workers seem unmotivated and grumpy and the food is just so overpriced for portion sizes. Burgers dry, mostly bun, fries cold, and feeding my family of 5 it’s about $45 if mediocre bland frozen food.

Same can be said about any other fast place now. Wendy’s, Burger King, subway, etc they’re all a dump now.

You then walk into In N Out, place is clean, workers are always smiling and happy and motivated to be at work and our meal is usually around $33 to feed my family of 5. Food comes fresh, good portion sizes and I don’t feel like I’m leaving the restaurant thinking I’m going to catch the flu in 24 hours.

No idea how these large chains are going to stay in business with their current direction.
