Catchings:
I know he came in with a "one-and-done" mentality, but I hope he's humble enough to be patient with his NBA dream.

From the little I've seen of him, he has a TON of potential. But he looks like a kid trying too hard to force his game.

If I was his dad, I would tell him to stop trying to be Kevin Durant and start trying to be Richie Saunders. That's maybe insulting to a "one-and-done" player, but it's what he needs to hear. If/when he plays as hard as Richie on defense, on the boards, and on offense without the ball... then the stats will follow.

Play within the offense. Be confident in taking the shots that are within the offense, but don't force it. Trust the system to provide you clean looks. Up your defensive intensity. Crash the glass. Get 8-10 "garbage" points a game. Move without the ball. Set up your teammates for success.

The best thing he can do for his NBA dream is to stop focusing on the NBA. Get in the trenches and get dirty. Become a good college player and a great teammate.
