The big surprise this season has been the great defense, and that's primarily why BYU was 9-0.

The offense is statistically mediocre and downright terrible in spots. 3rd down conversions have been abysmal all year. Going for it on 4th a lot has bailed them out. It caught up with them on Saturday. QB passing is under 60% which is mediocre by any standard and we've seen atrocious throws in the red zone.

Saturday's loss was 100% due to the ineptitude of the offense.
