—Chase is criminally underutilized. We seem to wake up when the moment is dire and only start using him then and he’s come through all year except last night by one yard. He disappears in the middles of the game. I’m glad he does what he does but he should have more targets.
—the offense looked its absolute best right before half and right before that stupid fade. It was the best TEMPO we’ve played with in a couple of games. This idea we’re gonna borrow Utah’s playbook and grind games down to nothing is maddening. Oh and it didn’t work. It really doesn’t work when you grind 10 minutes and only get a FG. I think BYU has to introduce some tempo. At least mix it up. We need more offensive possessions.
—I really hate Kansas. Burns me up it’s two in a row and they got to play spoiler. What really burns me up is how they managed to start the season 3-6. The Illinois and UNLV games especially. You win those and then beat West Virginia and TCU and you’re 7-2 and ranked and this game is different. Two ranked teams, can qualify as a “good” loss for BYU, and draws way more eyeballs. Instead you are so far below 500 you still can’t see it from where you are after this win and it hurts BYU even more. And the conference misses out on another ranked team so it hurts us that way too. Thanks a lot guys. But have fun crapping away your shot at a dream season with nearly all your skill players graduating, your entire secondary, and most of your two deep. I won’t mind watching you suck next year.
