I felt differently after the UCF game we built a lead a lead and then played ball control to shorten the game. We looked like we were in charge and getting better.
Last night it just looked like the plan was to play keep away and shorten the game when we were tied. There was no urgency on offense. It looked like we are game planning to try and win on the last possession. They seemed more concerned about taking away Kansas’ timeouts than scoring the TD.
A 3 win team was coming in. The message should have been to get out there and leave no doubt. Instead we shorten the game and put 13 points against a 3 win team? BYU earned that loss in stupid fashion. Even if we score and hold on to win, the “eye test” criticisms are fair.
