Thats when we went over Vegas’ +/-4.5 games for the year with our fifth win. I think it’s fair to be incredibly frustrated at the game because of how winnable it actually was. Feels like one of those we play 10 times at home and win 8 of them sort of scenarios. Jake played one of the worst games of the year and Arod called one of the worst games of the year. And that cost us.
But when you step back life is incredibly good. We never should’ve cared about rankings any way. This may be the perfect wake up call as we still control our own destiny. We’ve beat multiple teams better on the year than ASU. And even if we lose that, it’s incredibly unlikely we would lose 3 straight. So 10-2 and alamo bowl appearance would be great for the program. The program looks like its changing its trajectory out of mediocrity. With more money, better recruits, better depth, hopefully a new offensive coordinator, BYU should compete for top 3 year in and year out going forward.
