Why BYU wins:
-Revenge game, at home. KU embarrassed our "D" in the second half last year and exposed BYU after a promising 3-0 start. BYU "D" not to forget.
-Continued big "CHIP" on the shoulder - picked by many pundits to lose at home despite being 9-0 with some quality top 20 wins
-Night game on ESPN - BYU's anti-kryptonite!
-Best pre-game show hype train in the business - bring on the drone show!
-Retzlaff never timid, always confident to come through, no matter what the odds
-Connor Pay is back, Mitchell has been a revelation (apart from that one snap), and Isaiah Jatta was an unsung hero for that last Utah drive, protecting Jake
-opportunistic "D" that just keeps winning the TO game.
-Way better pressure on the QB this year than last year
-dangerous ST's during KO and Punt returns
-Will Ferrin's GRIN!
How BYU may take it on the chin:
-BYU letdown after being essentially forced to hear about the Utah game all week, and in the back of their minds, knowing 1 loss does not keep them out of the CCG or CFP
-KU playing for their bowl eligibility lives, eager to prove those close losses are behind them, and the chance to finish with beating possibly the best 4 teams in the B12 (ISU, BYU, CU, and
?coming on strong Baylor), with a tiny margin 2 pt loss to KSU
-KU really is the best 3-6 team in the country
-Unpredictable TO margin with weather issues. If KU wins the TO margin, it may be trouble for BYU
-Two headed monster with strong balanced run and pass game
-If BYU doesn't find a way to hold the edge - a recurring problem this yr, IMO, despite an overall great BYU "D"
-BYU suffers key injuries mid-game
-ST's lays an egg
-Lee Corso picked BYU on game day - not sure I like that
-Luck runs out
Now, ignore all that! GO COUGS - remember the "CHIP!" 10-0 BABY!
