Years ago I participated in a Restaurant Impossible episode
Restaurant Impossible came to town to do some work for City Kids. City Kids is a camp near Jackson that brings out inner-city kids to Jackson Hole to experience more outdoors. The program was working to remodel their kitchen and dining facilities and asked for volunteers. I've got lots of construction experience and I absolutely loved the show, so I jumped in. Rest assured, there was a full on scouting visit prior to the taping of the show. They laid out all the work, all the staging, everything. Reality TV isn't reality TV. It's all just staged. Thankfully the cast members you see on that particular show were incredibly polite. I worked alongside Tom Burry and helped with some samples for Taniya Nayak and they were really cool. All in all it was a great experience.
