which we have had for 60+ years, is the same as some person in Pennsylvania's social security number. Our bank tells us that this happens all the time. EINs and SS numbers appear similar. Apparently there is a way to get the IRS to verify our EIN number... does anyone know what that process is? I have a 800 number that I have spent a few hours on hold. Has anyone gone through this?
