Can someone explain why we were not ready for Utah's late substitution tactics?
It seems we had to burn potentially critical timeouts —a few times— which impacted the game, and could have impacted the game's outcome. Fortunately it did not.

I understand there were at least some changes around substitution/clock rules recently (Oregon gaming the system) and there may be more changes in the future; but if we know the CURRENT rules, how can we fall victim -repeatedly- to another team's known tactics in this regard? What are the rules around substitution/clock, and how did we fail?

I felt like poor clock management (e.g. the end of the 1st half) was the glaring weakness of this team —at least in the Utah game.

OK one other question: If a game environment is expected to be ULTRA-loud (e.g. LES/RES), can a team not make communication adjustments, e.g. visual rather than audio cues in the huddle?
