year we had a similar season to what Utah is having now.
We started well and we were excited about the first season in the Big 12. The wheels came off, we lost our starting QB, and the ball just didn't bounce our way in close games.
The fans turned on the coaches, but the coaches did not give up on the program. They believed in Retzlaff, they recruited their own team back, they kept key contributors like Batty and Pay, they made necessary program changes, and ultimately stayed humble. All of that turned into our 9-0 season.
Flip the script and Utah is falling apart. They are publicly blaming everyone but themselves. Players are not happy. They are posting cryptic tweets or just quitting on the team.
I'm glad we have Kalani and team. Everyone needs to remember this when we lose or have adversity. The right guy is at the helm.
Go Cougs!
