Daily Utah Chronicle reporter, Amy Greenfield, has revealed that head football coach Kyle Whittingham has joined the search for the culprit who hit the BYU Cheer Squad coach in the head with a water bottle after the game on Saturday night. He has issued urgent pleas on various social media platforms, taken out a half page add in the
Chronicle and posted fliers around campus.
When asked why he has become so involved in the effort to bring the offender to justice, coach Whittingham explained, “This isn’t about justice, it’s about turning our season around, becoming bowl eligible… we haven’t seen that kind of arm strength and accuracy in Rice Eccles Stadium since Alex Smith graduated.”
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the assailant is encouraged to call the Chronicle newsline or you can contact coach Whittingham directly.
