I say bottom-up. I look back to the McBride era, and it is clear that he was a class act in spite of and to the disliking of the Utah fanbase.
They wanted a head coach and program that embodied their hatred and truck-stop culture. They got it in Urban/Whitt, and the Hill/Harlen.
As much as it would be nice for Utah to move on from the petty and petulant Harlen/Whitt - this is what their fanbase actually wants. Winning aside, they enjoy being represented by truck-stop values and level of class.
Note: I actually have no problem with truckers - they are great people we all rely on. Just noting the hypocrisy of yewts holding their noses up at the “truck-stop conference” while simultaneously acting as the B12’s embarrassing white trash cousin you pretend you don’t know in public.
