TNT Intervention Needed
Darkest Hour
Watched this tonight. Some thoughts.

Good: Gary Oldman is amazing as usual. The Director of Photography did awesome work. Between the first 40 minutes and the last 20 minutes is a terrific movie. The tension and reality of Germany bombing London into oblivion is shown remarkably well.

Bad: The first 40 minutes dragged on too much showing Churchill's eccentricities (have no idea how much of that is real and how much is the writer/directors interpretation). Did it really need to take that much screen time? The last 20 minutes felt forced. From Churchill's ride on the subway to convincing everyone last minute of the need to not give ground to the Germans happened too quickly. At least for the pacing of the film.

TNT's final rating: 3/5 stars

(Note: This is not an official CB-sanctioned Gustav movie review. This is simply one really poor guy's opinion)
