Issac Wilson probably isn't going to turn into Taysom Hill, but both teams have an injured starting quarterback and outstanding defenses.
Both teams have turned to Freshman (or inexperienced) QBs with limited throwing success.
Both teams are driving their fans crazy with frustrating losses.
But, there was a game in 2012 that I hope for BYU's sake doesn't repeat itself.
BYU 6 Utah State 3.
Again, if you squint you can see some comparisons for this year's Utah team to that year's BYU.
And on the other side of the ball, you have a really, really good Utah State team, ranked and coached by Gary Andersen. Ball bounces a couple other ways and that Utah State team could have gone 13-0.
So, what happened and how do we avoid being the Utah State in this year's matchup?
In 2012, Utah State had 39 passes and 24 runs for all of 41 yards.
BYU had 36 passes and 45! rushing attempts.
It was a really impressive job of coaching and maybe Bronco's best upset, but no one really gives you credit for upsetting Utah State at home.
