Medicare supplemental (medigap) or Medicare Advantage? Which is better?

We're finishing our 1st year of Medicare and went with a supplemental medigap plan.  We also have a separate Part D plan as well separate dental and vision.  We're fine with all, but think our monthly combined $205 medigap premiums are high considering Allstate Health, the provider, has paid a total of $40 towards costs this year.

Advantage plans are cheaper but our understanding is that Advantage plans are not as widely accepted by medical providers. Also it was conveyed to us that once on Advantage, it is difficult to return to Medicare and supplemental.

So, all you Medicare users, now that it's open enrollment, which is better and reasonably priced?
