It feels so good to be doing these posts again. (I'm so glad we can watch the games on TV now. Luckily Central Arkansas didn't have our Blue/White game and exhibition game on tape or else maybe the game would have been closer. 😉 )

One word is different about this team from last year's team. Length! This team is long! That was very apparent from the first few minutes on offense. The athleticism is also an improvement from last year.

Demin is special! So fun to see him do his thing. Yes, it was against Central Arkansas. I'm looking forward to see what he can do against Ole Miss in a few weeks and then Purdue/NC State.

Catchings is smooth and a different level of player than we've had here before. I think he's taller than Keita. He has a nice and smooth and high release shot. He also was aggressive on defense. It will be fun to see his development throughout the year.

The defense was interesting and fun to watch. The pick and roll defense is definitely different than what Pope ran. Sometimes the big guy blitzes the dribbler. Sometimes the big will hedge and then drop down to take the big man. We'll see if the bigs are quick enough to do that on defense against a much quicker team.

Saunders is Saunders. He's more assertive this year so far. He's going to be scoring more points.

So good to be back watching basketball again. And there's another game this Friday. Great time of year!
