BYU athletic program that is in the best state that I ever could have imagined. What a special moment for a lifelong BYU fan. I am grateful for our student athletes that bring a lot of joy to my life.

We have a top 10 football team favored in an intense rivalry game and in solid position for postseason glory.

We have an up-and-coming basketball program with an incredibly bright future, amazing coach, and top-of-the-line recruits headed our way.

We have a bevy of secondary sports that are poised to remain competitive in the big 12 for years. I never regret taking family members to any BYU sporting event, no matter which sport.

We have a campus community and worldwide alumni network that are, on the whole, admirable and impressive in our solid fan support and sportsmanship.

We have (those that live close enough) a never-ending fan plethora of BYU games and activities that are, without exception, engaging and thrilling to attend (those last 3 games at LES will be a cherished memory for the rest of my life - for my family members too).

We have a rival who is at perhaps one of their lowest points in decades in their sports program (not that I am relishing in the schadenfreude, well, maybe just a little bit) after many years of earning this karma moment by their expressions of superiority.

And we have the CougarBoard community which, keeping it real, injects some sanity into my day whenever I log in. I can always count on CB to be a place where people have interesting things to talk about and perspectives that enrich my life, with respect to BYU sports and otherwise.
