He said he figured most of our players were members of the church, and that considering what he'd noted the demographics of our faith to be, he'd expect BYU to have a hard time recruiting ... skill position players. 😄. I told him we recruit such players just like any other major program, those recruits come into the program knowing it's a little different, and that those "skill position" players' mamas LOVE BYU for the positive environment their sons are a part of. He laughed at how much that made sense.

He was very surprised when I told him that much of the team is Polynesian, and we get our fair share of skill position players from their ranks, and that there's a huge Polynesian community within our church.

But that made me realize, I don't actually know % LDS vs not, % haole/poly/black etc.

I seem to recall that used to be put out in the yearly team prospectus, but a cursory googling didn't yield much.
