Through chat GTP and it's basically the same as before but just sounds better, is that permissible or not?

For example, here's that horribly worded question written again through Chat GTP:

If you're applying to BYU and you compose an essay in your own words, then use ChatGPT to enhance its clarity and style while keeping the original content intact, is that permissible?

I was just talking with someone who thinks that it results in automatic disqualification and rejection of application. And that they run it through a program that tells them if chat GTP, etc, was used.
