It is honestly a marvel to me what they have achieved. Until six months ago we didn't even have a head coach and most of our players were leaving or considering leaving. KY is hired and then proceeds to put together the best coaching staff and recruiting class ever (at least top 3). He then ensures that most of our core/key players return to BYU. Aly wouldn't even fit in on this roster, and I'm not even sure how much of a role that Waterman would have. Jaxson is a loss, but Catchings appears to be a more than serviceable replacement for him. Think about how late in the recruiting process this coaching staff came in. Most players have already chosen a school by April-May of the year that they start college, especially the top tier players who have many options. How in the world did KY and his staff, this late in the process, land two of the nations top 40 players at a school that almost never lands top 40 players at all? On top of that, Crawford appears to be better than advertised. It is almost miraculous what we have seen take place over the past six months.
