Only for ESPN to pick the game and put it in the ultra-late window.
I have no doubt the game will do better than other games in that window and do well for ESPN, but I thought half the point was that it would be on a less crowded weekend and could be showcased to more of a national audience.
Someone would have to fact-check this, but I thought under the current media rights deal Fox had the first choice of Big 12 games in even years. So if that’s right (it might not be), it means Fox passed up on this game.
Anyway, we can blame Utah for being bad at football and a terrible school full of serial killers and unemployable inbreds, but going into the year the expectation was pretty much the opposite football-wise, so not sure that explains it.
