Anecdotal, but what I’ve seen in my own extended family with the resurgence of BYU football has been awesome.

Several of my cousins and their families live in southeast Idaho. The older generation are all BYU fans. The younger kids all became Boise fans. Matter of fact, pretty much their entire town made the change. BYU flags turned to Boise flags.

Now these same younger cousins are fired up about BYU again. They are texting me about games and following every move. It’s awesome. Now they talk about things the team did as “we” and “us” and “our.” The dormant spark has been ignited again.

A couple of years ago that would never have happened.

This has been a really big deal.
