I think it's good and works in our favor to have a QB who is not emotionally immersed in the rivalry history in any way. Not from Utah, not LDS - everyone around him can be amped up on the emotion and sure he'll feed off of it, but I think for the cerebral position that QB is it's beneficial to not be crazy amped on rivalry adrenaline going into a game.
The fact that other key playmakers like LJ and Darius also aren't connected to it is good as well.
