I tried putting myself in the shoes of a Tech fan after last night and realized they felt familiar. A couple of games(TCU) really felt like the officials were deliberately favoring BYU's opponent. I was livid....

So, last night, BYU caught the officials RNG advantage. From our perspective it felt close to even, right? With the exception of 2 hand ball no calls....the PK that Tech would have had was a bigger loss than the free kick from just outside the box.

I hate that officials can influence games this much, but, barring AI supported systems calling every tiny infraction it seems like part of the game. So, next time BYU gets robbed by the refs it's still going to suck, but it's part of the game.

As an admission of ignorance. does the B12 hire high quality officials? Is it a you get what you pay for situation and better refs cost lots of $$$$?
