One of my former students got a NIL payment of 150K to stay at his mid major school. He's not a starter. He logged an average of 12 minutes a game last year. He isn't projected to be a starter this year either.

150K for alumni at his school to foot for him isn't much. The worry was he was going to transfer to another midmajor near his home. They felt like they had to pay just to keep their roster intact and to be semi competitive in their league again.
