50 y/o male complains his shoulder pain isn't getting better, doing 200 reps of a military press with 15-20 lb dumbbells a day, doing 200 pushups a day, doing dips and other exercises as well.
On one hand, I am proud of the guy as he has completely turned his life around from a diet/exercise standpoint. He is killing it. Taken him off about 4 medications at this point.
On the other hand, the dude needs to chill. . . That is too much. Especially at his age.
He left angry when I told him he needs to workout 3-4 days a week instead of 6-7. (I gave him all the other recommendations and we did some stretches and exercises in clinic (Did some OMT for my fellow DOs out there)) He wants monthly steroid injections as he says that is "The only thing that helps".
Just a heads up, if you are 50+ doctors are not miracle workers, if you push too hard, you're going to have pain.
