Which, is somewhat cherry-picked as 20 starts weeds out tons of guys when it’s not their fault, like anyone who pitched prior to the division series (or even championship series) starting (besides Whitey!). It also then doesn’t have guys like Madison Bumgarner and Cliff Lee who became postseason legends by being unhittable, but don’t come close to the start requirement.
Still, I think the larger point is that pitching in the postseason is incredibly hard, even for these surefire hall of famers. Guys like Kershaw and Verlander have had to fight postseason pitching narratives their entire career. Meanwhile Andy Pettitte is known as a complete postseason killer, and slots in towards the bottom of this list.
