I('ve admittedly been lucky and) haven't bought a large appearance in years. But it doesn't appear Amazon is the way to go (yet?). Do people still just do the Lowes thing?

In a perfect world, I'd love one that is quiet, will get dishes clean even when it's kids loading the thing like, well, kids do, and would love it not to break the bank.
