I was among those who questioned Etienne's performance/starting position at the end of last year. I don't question whether there was cause to be concerned at that point, but because I was vocal and put my opinion out on a public message board, I feel compelled to follow up. What he's done this season is nothing short of answering the critics (like me) in convincing fashion. I used to watch him with white knuckles on every play . . . now I just trust him because he's shown that he can not only be a starter, but a key cog on the line and an asset in pocket protection. He's made me a believer . . . in personal growth and determination . . . and in the need to remember that I don't always understand a player's specific circumstances or life/football trajectory. (There's a lesson there for me.) I am happy to say that I am a fan of Caleb and his work, and I so appreciate him for the work he's put in and the performances he's laid down. Much respect Caleb, and I'm cheering for you to go to the next level! I hope you close out strong this season, and I'll be cheering every step. Thanks for being such a great example of the power of determination and achieving strength from weakness. Fan for life.
