Cougs or die All-American
I keep hearing from media outlets that BYU got lucky on Saturday. While I wont
deny that it was an incredible last drive of the game it wasn’t really lucky.

Nothing “flukey” happened. There was no tipped ball that happened to land in our receivers hands. There wasn’t a miracle pick to give us the ball back. It wasn’t an incredible field goal made from 60+ yards. We had a methodical march down the field and scored a TD that wasn’t even a miracle catch. Lassiter’s strength all season has been yards after catch. He just did what he always does. It wasn’t a hail Mary.

I guess the only thing you could point to is that it was a broken route, but Lassiter and Jake made a veteran play on something that broke down. The whole offense executed.

The game was a tough fought game that came down to who had the ball last with enough time left to score.

Did we do it in impressive fashion because of the time crunch and pressure? Sure. But the team practices those situations all the time and the players executed.

It wasn’t luck. You can argue that about some of our other games but not this one.
